I began my own health journey a few years ago and quickly took a wrong turn. Like many young women, I thought under-eating and over-exercising were the path to health. Boy, was I wrong! After a couple years, my health had gotten progressively worse. I became an exhausted young mom with severe acne, insomnia, PMS, mood swings and no energy! I knew something wasn’t right, and that started my investigation into health and nutrition.
Today I enjoy excellent health, sleep like a baby and my moods are fantastic (well, most of the time!). You can read more about the improvements I’ve experienced here. But I still wanted to learn more, and I figured there were still a lot of folks out there looking for answers, so that’s how this blog got started.

I’m a hippie chick who digs rock ‘n’ roll. I’m a DIY-er who appreciates a nice pair of heels. I refuse to get cable TV, but boy do I love air conditioning.
I’ve always been a little bit unconventional, which is probably why I embrace an approach to getting healthy that includes listening to your body, finding your own way, and throwing dietary dogma out the window where it belongs.
These days I’m living the beach life on the Atlantic coast with my totally awesome husband of 14 years and our two children.
